Fund Management ServicesWe establish and manage private equity investment funds on behalf of our investors. This means we can tailor funds to meet the requirements or intentions of different groups of investors. Dynamic Equity Venture Fund Ltd.Our first fund is incorporated in Trinidad & Tobago as Dynamic Equity Venture Fund Ltd. It is registered as a Reporting Issuer with the T&T Securities and Exchange Commission. It was also approved for investment of Statutory Funds under the Second Schedule of the Insurance Act, 1980. This fund started operations on 12 July 2001. Its investment period ended in July 2007. It has invested all of its $ 35 million of committed capital. Its investors are:
TaxationUnder the current tax regime of Trinidad & Tobago, dividends and long-term capital gains are tax exempt for local shareholders. Our existing fund is not registered under the Venture Capital Act, 1994 of Trinidad & Tobago. Therefore, its investees are not subject to restrictions in the Act and its investors do not qualify for the tax credit under the Venture Capital Incentive Programme. Our current fund is a standard company for tax purposes.LegislationThe Venture Capital Act and Regulations of Trinidad & Tobago were amended in July 2005.
